Bow Eye Question

Member Posts: 41 Comments: 0 Joined: 08/03/16	Good Morning All, Is is just me or is your bow eye too small on your Whaler? I am on my 5th Whaler now and all winch strap hooks that I have tried are a real project to connect or disconnect from the bow eyelet. I now have the bow eye assbly removed and am heading to Hamilton Marine at lunch time to find a replacement. I know it wont be OEM, but for me, it's time to replace it. Thoughts? Member Posts: 41 Comments: 0 Joined: 08/03/16	Here's my solution. Picked up a 1/2" bow eye at Hamilton Marine. Had a TIG welder friend weld a piece of stainless plate with 2 locating tabs to the threaded eye . This will work.. Annie4 attached the following image: [142.5Kb]
