Hi all:
I own a 1989 13 ft Super Sport with the wrap around rail. We keep her in a slip. Our dogs are intimidated by the rail in boarding and going back onto the dock. I'm looking at removing a short section of the rail at the aft end where it curves down to the hull to make it easier for their boarding. So my question is are these tubular rails one piece, or is the complete rail made up from individual pieces that are joined together by the joint couplings which are located at each stanchion? Obviously if they are joined at those joints I would not need to cut the tubing to remove that section, but simply undo the coupling and remove the aft section.
Also I am open to alternative suggestions for mods to help with the dogs boarding.
