I want to replace my bolsters on my 2003 Ventura 210, 21 foot boat. The starboard bolster has the gear shifter attached tru the bolster to a backing block behind the sidewall. Does anyone know how the gear shifter can be removed so I can take off the bolster. There is very little if any room behind the sidewall to reach behind the bolster and gear shifter. I can take off the two black plastic pieces on either side of the gear shifter, which reveals three screw heads and two heads of bolts. How does the bolster come off with the gear shifter on that side? Does the gear shifter have to come off as well? Are there any diagrams on how this is installed?
