Hello, do you have any tips to fix the accessories on my boston whaler montauk 17?
The first step is to drill and then screw. But are there other methods that can guarantee me a very solid fixation?
I also want to screw my engine before minn kota terrova exactly in the middle of the boat's nose. The laying surface is reduced. Do you have a good method? I thought to cross two screws? (I removed the front lighting)
How would you do it?
I have several accessories to install on the edges of the boat (rod holders, rail railblaza rail, water separator for gasoline, ...)
On other websites, it is recommended to drill, defoat with an allen key and load the cavity with a 2k epoxy adhesive. But this is very hard after. Do you have similar methods? I'm afraid it's only the fiber layer of the boat that supports my accessories.
Thank you and sorry for my bad English, I am from Belgium and I speak French.
I have a Terrova on my Custom 17 mounted on the front step. Having it offset from the center has not caused any problems with operation. It is mounted to an aluminum plate that is screwed to the wood insert in the hull.
Thank you for your answers.
I sacrificed the light to have my terrova in the perfect axis. (
the fish i am looking for requires very precise drift) I will cut a 3mm steel board and screw it on the boat. I will send you photos when it's finished. Sorry for my bad englsih
