I like to purchase new or slightly used Whaler Chairs, if available. Would consider different make if post from the chair fits over the post from the floor. Member Posts: 4 Comments: 0 Joined: 07/25/17	Thanks Joe for your information regarding the Captain Chairs on my 1985 Outrage 18. We are using Marine Tex to heal the stress cracks on the chair. Also JB Weld works on portions of the chair that are out of sight.

If they work for me, you can have my old ones for shipping costs. I used a pair of Whaler chairs in my other boat and I want to have all the pieces interchangeable.

Member Posts: 890 Comments: 4 Joined: 05/08/06	Are the bases screwed to the chair? If so and can be removed, you can buy any seat you want and just reuse the base on the new chair. I had a set of Scarab bolster seats on my Revenge, very comfy. 24 Whalers so far....
