Reaching out to 1999 to 2001 Outrage 28 and 29 owners.....trying to find out what type of system is in my 2000 Outrage 28. My pump is running way to long to create vacuum and I want to fix it. I have reached out to Whaler Customer Service and they indicated that the boat was built with a VACUUM GEN, VAC HEAD SYS 12V DOMETIC Supplier Part#: 317769012. This part number brings me to a VHT 12, which is an all in one vacuum/tank unit, which makes sense as I was told that Whaler kind of standardized on this unit for boats of this size. However, I found a manual within old files for the boat that shows that I may have a vacuum generator pump unit that dumps into a separate storage tank. I know that that I could remove the deck board to see what I have but don't want to do that until I order duckbill valves and potential vacuum switches and grommets that I may need for the unit. There is a generous bead of calk that has to be cut through and don't want to do this till I am ready with parts in hand.

Any hints on this would be helpful.

Sloop John, I am troubleshooting this system on a 2001 Conquest 28' as well. Did you recceive any assistance on this topic thus far?

(changed to correct name of Conquest 28' for clarification) (3 digit names did not start until 2002)

Hi Magnum....I did have some success here...worked with a great company, Aqua star Distributors...they were extremely knowledgeable and knew exactly what I needed. I ended up changing out the duckbills and a vacuum switch on the VHT12 unit. It stopped the constant running of the pump but I didn't hold for l long periods of time. I believe i could have changed out the seals in at the toilet head but I sold the boat before I got to it. Here is the link: https://www.aquastardistributors.com/utors.com/
