Bi-color bow light lens

Member Posts: 175 Comments: 2 Joined: 04/24/10	Alright, 3 hours of searching the web and I'm no closer to finding the lens replacement for my bi-color bow light. Anybody know a source. I'm pretty sure it's two piece (1/2 rounds) but don't know for sure. I have a lens version that is apparently for a 13'. Just floats in my original 1971 bow light. (Free to anyone that wants it). Member Posts: 175 Comments: 2 Joined: 04/24/10	First off I would STRONGLY suggest avoiding MarinePart Depot. His reviews are beyond horrible and will only ship when Paypal gets involved. Secondly, I 'know' zip so far. On my light I had no lenses when I acquired the boat. I have half a lens (red side). It appears to be an 1/8" taller than the one piece lenses being reproduced. (I bought a repro one). The replacement flops like a fish in the cover. Reading the verbal descriptions in the links (thank you) the two halves without the notched bases seem to be correct, but they need a grommet of some sort too. I can engineer a few gaskets / grommets and various parts to make it steady but wish I could be sure of the correct parts. The pic in the first link shows an added screw hole to adapt to whichever light used. Also, it would allow saltwater to splash in and over the sides. Where did you purchase the repro that is too short? I admit I'm not too tech savvy but I did not see that bow light picture link. It clearly shows my 1971 version. It also shows a one piece lens. One of the Phil's links shows a two part lens. Part of my frustration is the fact if you do find something the description/specs are lacking in detail. I'm probably in need of a break from this boat revival. (Menemsha). My only project. Now of course we do not know if the light you have is original or not but you might. Compare your light to the lights in our OEM Photos and you may get some idea like you just did. Then you can go from there. You did not mention where you bought your Repro light but try Specialty or another source and let us know what fits in your light. Photos would be great.
