1999 Dauntless 18' ordering parts from Boston Whaler parts list
I'm new to Boston Whaler's and have looked over this site and have done many google searches for ordering parts for a 1999 Dauntless 18'. I've located the part number from the Boston Whaler website and its a recessed latch 1043298. It looks like a simple replacement and I took the part out of the seat cover (holds the seat cover to the seat base), but there are a dozen recessed latches on different websites. I'm hoping someone can help me find this part - lost four life jackets driving over the weekend. I recently bought the boat and the previous owner seems to have had a problem finding the correct part and put a latch that will not close the cover properly. Thanks for any help!!

You have a Dauntless 18' as the first 3 digit names did not start until 2002.
You should see Dauntless 18' decal on the side of your boat somewhere if it is original. http://www.whalercentral.com/userphot...lbum_id=66
Inquire about that part number from a Whaler dealer if you are having problems.
Make sure that part is available and how much it is.
