Need to replace the fiberglass stern seat back on my 2002 Dauntless 180
My husband and I bought a 2002 Dauntless 180 a couple of years ago and one of the problems we haven't been able to fix is the damaged stern seat back. The previous owner put screws through it and epoxied it to try to keep it together, but it is coming apart anyway. I've googled and searched eBay and haven't had any luck finding a replacement. If anyone can point me in the direction of a resource, I would greatly appreciate it! Thanks!
Do you have photos showing the damage? Maybe it is possible to repair.
If not repairable, I would suggest you have two options. Replace the seat back with a custom fabricated replacement using fiberglass/gelcoat OR wood/composite material in a complementary color.
You can use the existing seatback as a template. That will help the fabricator.
