I struggle to understand why Whaler would use ITALIAN products (spray nozzle and 6' hose AND the windless) but never-the-less;

I simply want to extend my spray hose on the transom to 10'. Simple right?

The hose is some metric weird dimension that West Marine doesn't carry and Whaler HQ doesn't carry. HQ put me off to HeatCraft who is non responsive.

I'm willing to splice the hose (if i can figure out it's diameter (1/2" is too large, 1/4" too small).

I would splice down near the fresh water connection, in the gunnel, as the hole for the hose to pay out through is too small to allow the splice with it's screw down rings to pass through.

Any suggestions welcome!

What is the connection at the supply side of the hose? I am sure a hardware store or plumping supply shop has a barbed fitting that matches the hose, or better, a fitting that can adapt over to a standard, good ol' USA hose. If there are any threaded fittings in line that is also an easy place to adapt. I have used both brass and plastic barbed fittings that have different sized diameter barbs at either end.

Robb sorry to say but metric is not a weird dimension at least not as weird as SI. Metric is more widely used than SI.

That said you already answered you question if 1/2 is to large and 1/4 too small you probable have a 10mm hose (I assume we are talking ID) which is very close to 3/8" if you have a 10mm hose it is easy to find metric to SI barb fittings.
I'm not familiar with your set-up but you can get 3/8 hose to metric thread adapters at any good hardware store (or even automotive)

There should be a well stocked brass fitting section in the plumbing section of a good hardware store. You get into some unique sizing with the propane or natural gas fittings. Ex. 7/16" fine thread MIP adapter to 3/8 hose.....and a bunch of different others. Take an example of the hose/thread you are working with and go from there. Not found in the Garden Tool Section of the store for hose repair.
