So I've started working on the interior of my 15' whaler. The anchor locker has a round indent on the floor (looks like a bucket used to rest in the indent). Is this normal or was this developed over time? If so, should I overlay fiberglass to the indent in an attempt to level the area flat?

Thanks!

That is the normal look of where the foam was added to the hull at the factory.

Thanks. So that circle is about a 1/2 centimeter deep and I would assume water could pool in that spot. Would that be an issue? As I'm doing a full restore with epoxy repairs, is it worth leveling it off so water moves from that spot down the drain tube?

That is the sprue hole.

They used that to pour in the foam and allowed the excess foam to escape the hull cavity during fabrication.

Thanks. Looks like it isn't necessary then to overlay more fiberglass and fill it up correct?

I would think just check after a trip, mop up any water with a small towel.

Sorry, didn't notice, this thread is a couple month's old.
