Hi All,

New to the site and happy to be here. I've got a 2003 15' 150 Sport and I'm considering ways to get some shade on the bow. My wife and I are expecting our first and so some extra shade is a must for when we just drop anchor and hang out. I already have a Bimini top.

I've seen some Whalers with half-shell bow covers, but I don't need it underway and don't want to get that much in the way of being able to anchor. I'm looking at a Taylor Made Anchorshade III in 6'x6' (only size I've seen).

Does anyone have any experience or thoughts on this shade or anything else I should try?

Thanks in advance for your thoughts!

Best,
Eric

Welcome aboard WhalerCentral Eric.

You might have to have one custom made something like shown in the link below.

I don't see anything available for your model except the Suntop.

The Suntop does slide forward and then folds forward so don't know if some sort of adjustment might give you some forward shade?

This is what I did Ina pinch last summer, I just bought some rip, stop black material at the local craft and sewing store for $10 and used some spring loaded clamps I had lying around my shop, this spring we will sew on some straps and buckles, the bow at the front is part of the old Mills bow shelter.
