Member Posts: 1926 Comments: 16 Joined: 05/02/08	That material on the Mercury control cover is chrome mylar, not stainless, and it really cannot be cleaned once the corrosion sets in. Member Personal Page Posts: 90 Comments: 0 Joined: 09/15/17	I removed the MatTac because it was coming off. Used razor around steering wheel. Did not want to deal with removing steering to replace so I’ll go without for now.
