Working through my new (to me) Outrage, I needed to open all the deck plates for inspection and cleaning.
First, they were all difficult to pry out and they were dirty. The seals were virtually flat and hard.
Thanks to this site, I contacted Beckson and inquired about price and availability. The prices were surprisingly reasonable.
I ordered new ones and they were quickly shipped and received.
After cleaning the deck plates and the portion on the deck, I installed the new seals. They feel like they almost have a foam inside with a tough outer cover....not like an o-ring.
Was I surprised! The plates snapped right into place and shockingly come out much easier than with the old seals, yet with a firm "over-center" movement.
Don't put up with leaking, dirty deck plates........these seals work as they should. Just a recommendation.
