Will a bow rail from a mid 2000's 150 sport fit a 2013 Montauk 150?
I do not like the tall bow rails BW makes for the Montauk, but loved the bow rail on my 2004 130 sport and my 1998 Ventura 20. I was thinking the 150 sport bow looks exactly like the Montauk 150 bow so it might fit.
If it would fit where would one procure such an item?
It's very unlikely the rail would fit. If the fit is wrong have a stainless steel rail fabricated to your exact specifications.
When I sold my 1999 Dauntless 16 the gentleman who bought it had the bow rail removed and replaced with a lower profile rail. He saved a lot of money because the fabricator was able to reuse the original rail by modifying the stanchions. The fabricator also made a "gate" in the rail to accommodate a trolling motor.
