Someone on this site said that there are recommended replacement front seats for the Newport.
"recommended alternative (bench cushion and two rod back cushions)"
Can anyone point me in the general direction?
Thanks

I said it in another thread.

NOTE = I may be wrong about the seats no longer being available. As recent as 2012 Anderson's offered the moulded seats. You may want to check with Tena to see if they are still offered.

The alternative idea was created and executed by Jeff,

Since I have never been a huge fan of the Newport front bucket seats I designed and had them [Halls] fabricate a new front seat that looks more like a Montauk Cooler seat cushion for the front to go with the Montauk Seat Back Rod holder and cushions I have installed on the console.

The cushions made by Halls Nautical (Lois retired) can be made by Anderson's now.

The only photo I could locate shows the rod back cushions. The seat cushion came later.

I can offer you a third option. Todd makes a Model 200 seat that was a cost effective option to mount up in my 1975 Newport 17.
