Looking for suggestions and/or ideas/photos for putting a t-top on my 1993 outrage. I want to make sure it still stays classy. Would Boston Whaler actually make one for its older consoles?

You have replied to my threads a few times . This would be the 1994 21 outrage that I just repowered. I went from twin 2 strokes to a single 4

While Boston Whaler does not offer accessories for its older models, there are several T-Top fabricators that do. There is also the custom fabrication choice too.
Here is a custom top that was well done on a 1995 Outrage 21.

I researched the Fishmaster product for a Carolina Skiff. They have a big following among CS owners and get very good reviews. It is fairly simple to fold the T-top forward which allows your boat to go into a garage or to be towed with less wind resistance. They are priced fairly, well built and easy to install according to numerous CS owners.
As a partial thread drift, has anyone taken an older aluminum T-top to be re-anodized? In March I talked with someone that had purchased a Stryker T-top from someone that took it off his new boat so that he could go under low bridges and paid only $700 for it including an electronic box and one of those T-bag storage canvas compartments. It had beautiful welding and was very solid. The point being that a used T-top is another option and the width of the stanchions is the biggest variable, they all tend to look similar.
Once you have had a T-top it becomes difficult to spend a day on the water without one.

I had a T top on my 21'. I have a few pictures on my personal page. Boston Whaler T tops have extra reinforcement in critical locations. I got mine from a custom manufacturer and it was well made but the screws were constantly coming loose. We fished pretty hard and occasionally in "only in a whaler weather". The Boston Whaler t-top was made much better. So, if you can find an old one, I would go that route. If not, a custom one will work, I would make sure they put backing plates where it comes in contact with the console and use nylon lock nuts, 5/16" over 1/4". Over engineer it because the boat will take a lot more abuse than the t top will. I also added a few back supports so the t top would hold 4 30TW's in rough conditions. This kept them from getting salt sprayed. You have a great boat.........good luck with your T top project.

C.E.Smith Company makes an adjustable T Top out of stainless. They have them for sale at a great discount occasionally from the ones they bring to the trade shows. Worth a call'

The page I attempted to link shows only Boston Whalers. Since the website is using frames, the intended page does not paste directly.
Please click on BOSTON WHALER on the left listing to show the appropriate page.
