Quick turnaround and great customer service. Talk with Jennifer.
My helm assembly had a very small leak. Just enough to make sort of a film on the bottom of the helm, not enough for a drip. At least that I could detect in the relatively short amount of time I'm actually behind the wheel. I had no idea what to expect but sort of assumed they would say the parts were shot since they were so old. At the least I wanted to get them tested.
I shipped the helm and cylinder assemblies out on Friday (UPS Ground). The parts arrived there yesterday (Tuesday). They bench tested the assemblies this morning and found several seals that needed to be replaced but nothing major. They said that for a 25 year old system, my steering components were in amazingly good shape. Even if they did not find anything to replace I'd feel better about knowing the system had been tested.
She said I might have them back by Friday. Monday at the latest. They charged me $180. $220 total for the job when you take into account the shipping costs from VA to FL.
I expect the parts will work as advertised when I connect them back up (in 4 - 52 weeks ) and will update the thread if otherwise.
