I would recommend using double-sided VHB tape rated for marine use and the three screw holes situated throughout the logo.

Looks like they have FOUR screw holes to me.
How did that get missed?

These are for the 31L only so I doubt many will see the value when Janis @Magic Brush can produce OEM decals for significantly less than $500.

The OEM decals stink Phil! I bought a set of the raised gel decals for the 11' spot model, I think for $48 bucks, but never used them. I bough a set of these for $300, then had them stripped, polished and nickel plated. I think I've got about $600 in the set on my black boat. These look a whole lot nicer than the ones I started with, my set were severely scratched. The dufus I bought them from shipped them to me loose in a used pizza box. Still had pizza oil and cheese stuck to the box.

Oh, okay. Your original post was ambiguous, and when I looked at the ebay listing for the metal logos, I noticed the seller was also listing a used Mercury Quicksilver prop and I remembered that you also have a Mercury Quicksilver prop for sale here on WhalerCentral.

I figured it was unlikely there could be two different guys from the Tampa area who both owned these rare metal logos and had Mercury Quicksilver props for sale. So I incorrectly assumed these logos on ebay must be some of yours.

The guy on ebay had multiples -- his photos showed different sets of them. This makes me wonder how rare these metal logos really are if two different guys in the Tampa area alone have a supply of them. Still, they are pretty cool looking.

You went from calling everyone's attention to these, to talking up the price, to wondering if you should sell the extras you have, to then buying even more of them.

Wow, that is quite an about face!

I suppose you were able to work a better deal since the seller could probably deliver them in person and save on shipping? How many more sets did you end up buying?

Late night negotiation...$275 + ship. I'd rather not meet the lady. I think I've got four loose sets now, and the set on my boat. I've been collecting these for years, usually one at a time. I'd say the average set is $300. It's kinda comical, I've sold a set to a guy in Miami, about a year ago. And I promised another set to another guy in Miami recently, so my safety stock was depleting beyond my comfort. I have the two Whalers, and wanted at least one extra set in case they were stolen off the boats.

Ha! I know this illness very well. I have some items that I collect (not Whaler- or boating-related). I have far more of them than I could ever need. Occasionally I will sell one, but before long I find myself hunting again and next thing I know I own two more.

If you ever find yourself needing to unload a set, drop me a note. The asking price on these was far too rich for me, but I might be interested in the price range you ended up paying.
