Montauk Bow Rails

Because the only real difference I see is the mid posts have a slight offset on the smirked models, the rest looks pretty much the same.

I think the Smirked hull required the mounting to change, but I don't see why they would change the way they make the rails. I wouldn't be surprised if the first time they knew there was a problem was when they were fitting bow rails to the first Smirked hulls on the line. I also wouldn't be surprised if the Smirkless Montauk rails aren't exactly like any of the Sakonnet rails or other 16's.

I agree. All 16' hulls from 1975 and below should utilize the same bow rail. All that I can find in the catalogs or price list is the description "Bow Rail" or "S.S. Bow Rail" and then a price. No mention of a part number but does say standard on some models and optional with a price for other 16' models.
