Any recommendations for a mooring cover to fit a 15' Super Sport.
I know the Mills Co. makes a nice fitted cover with no snaps to drill , but over a GRAND for a 15' skiff style cover ????

I got a Carver SunDura cover for about $300 for my Montauk 17 foot that I'm happy with. Don't know that I would call it a mooring cover but it fits very well.

What is the year of your boat? Does your boat have bow rails? We may be able to recommend a custom cover for this boat model.

02Cool,
I have been keeping a few different Whalers in the water at a dock for the last few years. In my experience there is no Mooring Cover that will stay on the boat in between weekends without installing snaps and using some type of pole or bows to support the cover. This is because it takes only a small amount of rain to pool up in the cover and it will, "fall" in around itself or a small amount of wind to get under the cover and blow it off or into the boat. Any good trailer cover from carver Industries or one of their competitors will work fine for a few hundred dollars if you install snaps and use supports under the cover. On my last 1986 13 foot sport I had the canvas guy who works on my bigger boat make a custon cover with snaps around the edges and pockets for pole supports for around $800 and it worked perfectly although it can be a chore to install at the end of a weekend.

Leaning towards a Carver or similar cover and use support poles. Considering using Airhead suction cup tie down points on the sides of the boat to secure the straps.

I use and have recommended this http://boatcovers.iboats.com/Boston_W...=335441360 I just picked a model you must put in your exact year and options.
These come with a rope string sewn in that fit under the rub-rail/gunnel of the boat and if drawn tight enough should stay. Your suction cup set up could compliment this.
On my Montauk with bow and side rails I never had puddling problems but always have it pretty tight.

Sand bag mooring kits are also a great option to help keep the cover secure when mooring your boat. You can fill each bag with up to 7 or 8 lbs. of sand - this helps to weight the cover down.

Suction cup tie-downs are also an option:
