Is there a standard height of the bow rail at it's highest point nearest to the bow light?

Well, Joe, please enlighten me. I have searched but cannot find the specs. Mine is 17" and I am having some difficulty getting a cover to fit my boat.

I have not measured the front bow railing height but believe it's the same as yours cleep1700. I am searching for a cover as well. Just purchased the boat Saturday, so I too am a newbie.

I think 17" is about right. Carver has a cover for a 15 with bow rails, did you call them?

When I bought my Carver cover for my Montauk 17, Patty Dvorak from Quality Marine Supply contacted the Carver people and got this for me. They may have the cover you need. Quality Marine Supply was great to deal with. The cover was drop shipped to me in about 10 days.

Carver Cover 10304 will fit your boat.
1. It allows for bow rails up to 20" in height and also allows for the side rails. As long as your bow rails are no higher than 20", you should be just fine.

2. Your cover will come with a draw rope sewn into the hem which you will secure and tighten/tie in the back of the boat. It comes with a separate outboard motor cover which matches the boat cover and will accommodate up to a 150 HP outboard.

3. All Carver covers go over the bow rails and do not have cutouts for the bow rails. Therefore, they will not be located below or underneath the rails.

All original bow rails for the 15' models should be the same.

If someone's rail is not original then none of us will know what cover fits it.

Contact Carver directly if needed.
Their contact info is in our Sponsor section in the upper right sidebar.

Fellas, thank you. I went through an online store Boat Covers Direct that sells Carvers and Westlands and struck out. I'll go directly to Carver. Thanks again.

Thanks all for the information. I have a call into a local canvas top shop to get a price on a custom made one and will also price out one from Carver.

Bow rail heights for 15' models are NOT all the same. Super Sport is lower than Sport.

We are discussing the Sport model here so I will revise my statement for those that want to add other models in this discussion.

They should all be the same for the 15' Sport model.

The Super Sport is a completely different model and a completely different wrap around bow rail/side rail system.
