During a recent repair project, (reglassing the under side of a fuel tank cover from a 1974 Outrage 21) I slopped resin onto the non-skid topside of the cover. This occurred where tape covering various holes, (screw, fuel filler neck) failed and resin leaked through and cured on the non-skid top surface. West marine suggested heating and scraping with a plastic blade. This works on a flat surface but not non-skid. Acetone really doesn't really cut it. I purchased a small stainless steel brush in the welding department at Home Depot. Used a heat gun on low at about four inched from deck surface. Gently scrub resin with wire brush in small circular motion and slowly scrape away resin without ruining non-skid surface. Suggest practice in inconspicuous spot until you get the feel for pressure and heat application as too much of either will compromise gelcoat. Hope this helps someone and good luck.
