I installed a jack plate on my Sport 15 and I need to purchase a longer steering cable (need one about 1 foot longer than I currently have). I have the Teleflex Big-T Rotary steering helm (http://www.seastarsolutions.com/produ...-steering/) which accepts the SeaStar Solutions SSC61 Type Cable as best I can tell. Can anyone tell me where on the cable the length is stamped?

Can't remember which end, but within 1-2 feet of end. The numbers are embossed, so try running you hand along it, you will feel them.

Big-T is a lot of steering for a 15! I didn't realize Whaler used Big-T for those smaller boats.

My 1975 Outrage 19 came factory equipped with Big-T and chrome bezel, and I also installed a new cable. Be sure to also order the screw-on QC connector that is needed at the helm to install the modern cable into the older design helm.

Finnegan my brother owned the boat before me and he confirmed the big-t is original (He purchased it from the original owner in Ohio). He has previously replaced the cable and added the screw-on QC adapter so I should be set when the new cable arrives.

Looking forward to testing out the jack plate in the spring. It's an Atlas Micro Jacker.
