In May, 2014 we bought a 2010 Whaler 130 Super Sport. I made a post here...
http://www.whalercentral.com/forum/vi...d_id=19389.

Since then we've trailered it to some lakes in Northern Idaho and used it frequently on the Columbia River.

Well, I guess I was bitten by the Whaler Bug worse than I thought. We live in SE Washington state but also have a winter place in AZ. Before coming down here this fall I started looking on Craigslist to see what boats were available. I found a 1981 13' Sport model that had been restored by the owner. I watched it for a month or so and figured if it was still listed when we came down south I'd see if the owner was ready to part with it.

The bad news is that it was still listed. The good news is that it's now in my garage. This Whaler has all new wood, new cushions, new wiring, new gelcoat inside and out, and looks just about new.

We had our maiden voyage on it earlier this week on Lake Pleasant, AZ. The 40hp Evinrude runs well and, needless to say we had a great time.

I have pics of both boats but can't figure out how to post them. Any tips?

Sorry.
The disease is not curable.

You are stuck the rest of your day to ride in a Boston Whaler.

Could be worse. I started with a 15, moved to an 18' and now am in a 25. ...

Better'n me. Originally had a 22, found a nicer 22, ended up with my 25, so had 3 Whalers at one time. Parking was a beach.

This probably should go on the "What did you do for your Whaler today?" thread but I'll put it on here too.

Tomorrow I'm putting a new Garmin 50dv GPS/Depth finder on the boat tomorrow. That's probably a bit of overkill for a boat this size and age, but we'll be using it on inland lakes that I'm not familiar with and I don't want to be stranded up in the far reaches of some remote lake because I found a shallow area.

Doug, I'm not in the habit of discussing what I paid for things. The seller had a price of $5500. I paid much less than that.

I wrapped it all up to put in storage today. I'm headed back to WA for awhile so I'm putting this into a secure RV/boat storage area that has 24/7 security onsite.

The boat came with a towing cover. I installed three sets of "bows" to keep the towing cover from letting any rain pool on top (yeah, I know, rain in Phoenix? ) I put that cover on it and secured it then put a reflective tarp over the trailer cover and secured it with bungee cords. That will keep the sun and dust/dirt/bird crap off the cover.

Tomorrow it goes into storage. <<SNIFF, SNIFF>>
