I have been thinking about adding keels guards to my 13' whaler. There were a couple areas on the keels that I needed to repair when I restored this whaler and I was hoping the keel guards would protect them from scratching mor possible damage down the road. Not everywhere I'd use this boat has docks so beaching it is needed when launching a couple places. The keel guards would help no? Anyone ever add keel guards to theirs? I was thinking one down the middle and the two rear keels along with the outer keels up front.
Bad idea?
Thanks,
Spike
Restoration was much harder than I anticipated.....
I put one on my 17 custom 5 years ago because I was beaching in coves on gravel / sand . It has worked flawlessly . The white matches my 1988 perfectly .
