A local (for me) San Francisco/Bay Area Craigslist ad for sale. $500 for the RPS seat with the fiberglass legs. I have no idea of true value (I have pedestal seats and never in need). Looks clean with some screw holes on top of wood where some sort of hardware removed. It is located in the next town and I would offer to facilitate shipping to a member (as a courtesy) and if "no tire kicking" a member could negotiate through me for local sale. I could band it to a pallet and truck it out. My email is in my profile. I do not mind making a low ball offer.

A fair asking price for a complete, intact RPS. A little krylon fusion espresso brown spraypaint applied to the z-legs and a fresh sanding, and teak oil of the wood to make the components look new. I recommend Anderson manufacturing for a new cushion in parchment with brown piping.

A member asked me to make a $250 offer due to shipping costs across the border. I explained before the offer my club membership and what I was doing. Nice fellow, has had contact with Joe Kriz and Tom Clark in the past. The lowest acceptable offer is $350. A complete factory original undamaged seat from the banana hull series of boats (pre 1979) and he has a couple of handles that were removed from the top of the seat (you can see screw holes) he will throw in. I am willing to take care of shipping prep on this end at cost, even dismantle the seat if that is acceptable (I am not familiar with the construction so you tell me how you want it prepped). My zip code is 95465 and I believe the local trucking companies are 95404. I only request no tire kickers if I put out the money and check on condition. I am repaying a nice service from EJO for some navigation lights he is facilitating for me from Germany. What goes around comes around.

Yep,
Shipping costs are a killer when shopping across the border and the Brokerage fees are more often than not just as much altogether to the fee paid for the item.
Makes for a tough sell.
