Coffin lid off on 1974 outrage 21. No surprise that I found water on to of tank but what did surprise me was the heavy amount of silicone sealant around the perimeter of the tank. Everything I have read about this project indicates exposed foam surrounding the tank. Don't know but if I had pooled water on top of the tank I might think no water around the tank. Perhaps the silicone process was added in 1974 to solve the water problem in prior years. Anyone out there ever see this and if so what issues did you find? Also not surprised to find the structural plywood wet and in need of repair. Anyone ever have the repair done professionally and if so what might I expect to pay? Not finding fuel odor so seems tank is probably fine. Would appreciate your input. And, don McIntyre, does your Revenge winter in the north channel? Thanks for your feedback.
