I have a 2010 130 SuperSport and would like to mount a bimini on it. I have a sheet that shows the size and approximate location of the backer plates but there aren't any measurements on it that could be used to know the exact location of the backer plates.
I'd like to know if any of you have a 130 Super Sport with the factory installed bimini. If so, would you mind sharing some of these measurements with me:
1. What is the height of your bimini?
2. What is the width of the bimini?
3. How far forward of the stern of the boat are your bimini mounting brackets installed?
4. Are the mounting brackets installed on the flat surface that's just inboard of where the rub rail and the low area of the hull are? By that I mean--starting at the outboard side of the boat there is the rub rail, then an area where the hull dips down, then it rises back up to a flat area about 2.5" wide. Is it that flat area where the bimini mount is installed?
If you could post any photos of the bimini and the installation, I would appreciate it.
Here's the mount on my 1996 Bimini. 2 Pictures port side.
Not sure if it's factory, but it may help.
Mount is on flat area, even with the flat spot before it goes down the inside of the hull. The mount is such that the Bimini poles just clear the side rails as it is lifted.
