All -- I have a 1998 Conquest 21. The wiper motor is located under the deck right below the windscreen, with the shaft angled upward through the deck into a deck-mounted fitting. The shaft extends out the forward face of the fitting, and the wiper arm attaches to it. Or that's the theory, at least. When I got my boat a year ago, the entire assembly was corroded into one, non-functioning piece. Just a lump of metal. I assumed I could order replacements. But the BW parts diagram for my boat doesn't show the deck fitting. The only one I was able to scrounge from a dealer seems to be of poor quality chromed metal. I was able to order the motor and wiper arm through Twin Cities Marine. But the wiper motor shaft doesn't seem sized to fit the wiper arm--though each part was ordered off the BW parts diagram. The bottom end of the arm has a large aperture, about 1/2 inch in diameter, notched to slide onto a ridged shaft, and held in place with a set screw. But the wiper motor shaft is 1/4 in diameter and smooth as silk. No ridges, no flat face for a set screw. These things don't go together.
I contacted Marinco directly. www.marinco.com They do not sell to the public but the tech and I hopefully ordered the correct arm and blade for my 1979 22' Revenge. If wrong I can deal with them direct for the exchange. Very knowledgeable and helpful. Gave me the correct part numbers and I am waiting for a delivery from one of their distributors. Have your measurements ready.
