I am trying to determine which year whaler my wooden console belongs to :

The console is 35 inches wide

It is NOT a 2 part bottom console But a ONE piece meaning the front and side panels run completely down from the console deck to the hull.

All replacement consoles< I have seen are 2 piece.

Unfortunately the painted serial number on the inside transom has been covered, is there anyway for me to determine if it is a 60's or 70's whaler

Any advise would be appreciated.

The 40 inch console was available only for the early 1960 models.
At the same time the 35 inch was also available.
Later, all they offered was the 35 inch.

So, you will most likely never know what year you have unless you uncover those numbers.

If you do not have the bow platform, or any holes where the platform used to be, then it most likely was never a Sakonnet model.
See this info from Boston Whaler:

I assume you also have the Reversible Pilot Seat which was an option on the Nauset and Eastport models?

I have photographs of a 1963 Boston Whaler 16 Sakonnet Model, stencil 31199, with a 35 inch wide mahogany console that was one piece on the front and sides.

I moved your post to "Parts" as that is what you are asking about.
A Console is a part.

Too many people post in the General section when in fact it is not a General type of question.

You also didn't answer my question about what Pilot Seat you have.
Bench or Reversible? or aftermarket?

You also asked this question and received some answers 4 years ago.

To find your old questions, either click on the top of the forums where is says "Recent Threads" or "Recent Posts" or click on your profile or name and that will bring up the links to your old questions.
