I have lost the approximately 12" tall stern light for my boat. I know the stern light was from Perko (because all the other lights are from Perko), and only turned on when the console switch was set to "Running". The front portion was blacked out with black plastic (instead of a clear globe like the all around white light, so that only about 145 degrees of light would shine to the rear while the boat was running. Can't find one on Perko's website, so I assume this was a special part for Whaler. Any suggestions? Two pin light plug in base with a rotating collar lock.
The light plugged into the gunwale on the starboard side, approximately 2 feet from the transom.
Follow up-I followed Phil T's advise, and called Sue. She was GREAT-we were on the phone for 40 minutes as she tried to find something that would work. She put in a request to Whaler, who 2 days later responded with the original part number and the cost-(over $200). The part is not in the catalog.
So I am checking on retrofitting an existing Perko light for less than the $200. However, Sue Lodel was a real gem. I strongly recommend using her for parts and service. If I can't figure out the retrofit, I'll buy the part from her.
