I like the windscreen I have because it fits and it doesn't cost me more money.
But I can't see through it, its cloudy, sort of like headlights that are sun beaten and old.
I can see colors through it, but thats really it. Its not safe.
Can I wet sand this thing with 1500 or 1000 grit? Or compound it? To me that will make fine scratches and probably even harder to see thru it. But it works for those headlights.
Thanks. Its slightly tan in color on the brown side instead of smokey black side.

There are products for plastic that will take out the scratches. I buffed out my Outrage 17 windshield and the swirls were gone.
Try Mother's or Starbrite

Once clean and scratch free remember to use a cleaner and a lint free cloth. Wax or rain X helps too.

Sure, you can wetsand it. Start with as fine a grit as you can because you have to bring it back from that grit to polished, step by step.

I use Novis #1, #2 and #3 on Plexiglas depending on how bad it is. Always managed to bring it back to life.

I've used the Novis productcs on my Dauntless 15. Works well on all but the deepest scratches, but it takes some patience and a lot of rubbing. Buy it at your local Harley Davidson motorcycle dealer, I found it to be cheaper there.

It's exactly like headlights. I've had excellent results on my Outrage windshield with the Meguiar's headlight restoration kit. It come with 2 different wet sanding pads (1000 & 3000 grit) and a polishing pad (that attach to a drill) with compound. Work well for around $30.
