Windshield/Windscreen Cleaning?? No longer see thru

But I can't see through it, its cloudy, sort of like headlights that are sun beaten and old. I can see colors through it, but thats really it. Its not safe. Can I wet sand this thing with 1500 or 1000 grit? Or compound it? To me that will make fine scratches and probably even harder to see thru it. But it works for those headlights. Thanks. Its slightly tan in color on the brown side instead of smokey black side. Nothing like a Whaler

I buffed out my Outrage 17 windshield and the swirls were gone. Try Mother's or Starbrite http://www.starbrite.com/item/plastic...ory_id=572 Once clean and scratch free remember to use a cleaner and a lint free cloth. Wax or rain X helps too.

Works well on all but the deepest scratches, but it takes some patience and a lot of rubbing. But it works for those headlights. It's exactly like headlights. I've had excellent results on my Outrage windshield with the Meguiar's headlight restoration kit. It come with 2 different wet sanding pads (1000 & 3000 grit) and a polishing pad (that attach to a drill) with compound.
