Looking for an OEM steering wheel to join my project here.
(removed bad link)
Central wooden cap would be desired.

And further to this post

Wonder if the OEM unit was an 11" or a 15.5" size?
Would a five spoke be more desired than a six?

I believe I may have the wooden cap if some one else has the wheel. I will search my boxes. If I can find it, it is yours.

I have a 16", 6 spoke original equipment stainless wheel off of a 15' CC. If interested I will take some pictures over the weekend. Apparently this was a pretty common wheel as it is identical to the wheel on my 1987 15' Striper.

Ritzy, I found the wooden cap. OD 2.5", ID 2 3/16th". Yours and I will pick up postage. Been following your restoration and am glad to find a home for this piece. Glad to be part of your boat.

Ritzy,
Strange cap. This feels more like a composite material than wood. Still yours but you need to research if factory original. Has some subtle seam cracks that resemble wood. I'll send it and you make the call. Do not go out of your way for a return favor. Something pops up for any member that you can help out, good enough for me.

Ritzy, I have some pictures of my OEM 6-spoke wheel. It's 16" outside to outside. If interested, send your email and I will forward.

Ritzy, I had a chance to study the cap in full sunlight (earlier I was looking at it night with kitchen overhead). Most definitely wood original. The grain was so dense and the backside had "veneer" type lines from sitting inside the wheel, through me off.
