I just pulled off the fuel tank cover to get it replaced, and I found the tank looked good and had a Florida Marine Tank sticker on it. The address is still in FL on the sticker.
Does this mean its a replacement tank?
Also there were sheets of foam in decent condition around it, and it's not glued down at all. I know this because it's floating on all the water in the compartment. The tank is aluminum painted green. I believe Florida Marine made the OEM tanks as well.
The previous owner just ran on deck tanks, saying he didn't know the condition of the tank and didn't want to worry about it. He bought the boat in 2010.
Is there a source for the in deck fuel gauge and hatch?
Nothing wrong with the gauge, just cloudy and has condensation in it. The clear port cover is cloudy, but there. The housing is broken into multiple pieces. I am replacing the fuel tank cover with starboard anti skid. I'd like to have an access cover for my plastics guy to fit to it.
I will replace the hoses first thing. Thanks for the advice.
