I have buddy with an 1984 Outrage in need of gauges. He wants white with s/s trim. All the one's I have found cost a bundle.
I found Teleflex Sahara Signature Series gauges and thought these might look better with the desert tan interior. Here's the description: Black graphics and fire-orange pointer tip on sandy background. Scratch-resistant domed glass lenses. Enhanced illumination: red through-dial and white perimeter lighting for excellent readability at night.
# Tan dial & retainer, black numerals, black pointer with fire-orange tip
# Scratch resistant curved glass lenses, with black matte near-flush bezels
# U.S. and metric scales, with ISO symbols
# White perimiter and red thru-dial lighting
# Optional add-on square bezels for modular appearance
Check out the reference page I put together on OMC/Bombardier series instruments.
It might give you a little more perspective:

Check with your dealer for other styles of the Helmsman series. They might be what our friend is looking for.
I am a firm believer in staying with the same manufacturer of instruments as the engine.
Example: if you own a Mercury, stay with Mercury gauges and instruments etc...
Check out Classic Instruments out of Boyne, Michigan. They make the majority of guages and stuff that end up on the high end hot rods. And they make all of it for marine applications as well. Really nice folks and reasonably priced for the superior quality stuff they make.
