I bought a Cabelas cover from my 1979 17 Montauk in 2009 and I need to replace it. I went to reorder the same cover and it is no longer available. The price back then was an unbeatable $130!
I see posts from 2013 referencing the cabelas cover so it must be a recent change.
Has anyone found a decent cover under $200 recently?

I seriously doubt you'll find any kind of semi-custom cover for that price. As the cover lasted for only five years the quality was not great.
Carver Industries makes excellent "made-for" covers for many Whaler models. I've put them on my 1981 Sport 13 and 2009 190 Montauk as well as a 1999 Dauntless 16. The fit for all was excellent and the quality was also excellent. I also use the covers for towing.
The prices vary based upon your fabric choice. Sunbrella is pricy but has the best warranty.
If you google "carvercovers" the web site will pop up on the list.
