Also good source for deck mounted metal slides and hardware, would prefer it to stow forward and have metal over plastic hardware. Sorry I meant to post this under general not parts. Myers and summer in St. Joseph, Michigan. It’s now about 12 years since I’ve joined this group. I gave my 1972 whaler to my daughter and sold the 17’. Bought an O’Day 28 sailboat and sailed on Lake Michigan. Yesterday I bought a 2005 130 Sport.

I purchased a used Mills bimini w/ SS frame last summer for my 1978 Montauk. I never asked the seller what year his boat was...he just said it was a Montauk. I bought a Carver slider and track kit online, trimmed them to the length I wanted and screwed them right to the gunwales. The bimini slides over and past the bow rail for stowage on the outside of the rail. I was using the flying top that came with the boat previously but that did not provide enough shelter for the family and I never liked how it took up all the bow space when stowed - it mounted on the interior of the boat. Probably has similar gunwales to your's. I just added a pic to my PP showing the slider installation...it's the last pic on the page. I think my Merc 75hp is an 1985/1986...I can never remember.
