Regardless, a teak replacement will be easier to find and nicer looking. There is nothing preventing anybody from switching from fiberglass to teak or vice versa.

Member Posts: 1926 Comments: 16 Joined: 05/02/08	I agree that the teak cover is the way to go, even for one of the newer "all starboard" white Montauks. I've got to say Walter (Black Duck Gallery) does some mighty fine work! His locker covers are beautiful.

Member Posts: 7 Comments: 0 Joined: 03/04/14	I have the fiberglass one it developed some cracks in the seam and became waterlogged I have the teak console doors I ordered the boat that way in 1994 can't believe that was 20 years ago..will check out the teak lid again thanks for everyones feedback
