Member Posts: 2 Comments: 0 Joined: 08/02/13	My 1993 21 Outrage is powered with an 2008 250 Merc Opti. Love it! My question is related to the rear bench seat. Even with the rear bench seat folded down, the Merc cannot be tilted all the way up without hitting the seat. Not a huge deal when it is just my Dad and I (we just take the seat out), but when others are joining in, I need the space between the live well and rear bulkhead as well as the seating for the 10+ mile runs. I am curious to see if anyone here has tried any solutions that would allow me to keep the seat in the holes closest to the stern (allows the greatest space between the live well and seat) and allow me to store the boat in the water with the Merc tlted all the way up. I use the boat a few times a month, but my dad uses it it a few times a week. I would pull out each time, but I want to keep her in the water for ease of use for my dad (80 yrs young this year). Any after market seats that work? Any easy to use sliders that would allow me to slide forward while in the slip and back when out on the lake (western basin Lake Erie)? I appreciate any input. Member Posts: 1675 Comments: 0 Joined: 03/31/13	I installed a 6 inch Jack Plate on my 1979 22 ft Revenge (Revenge is an Outrage hull with full cabin) for the extra space in back. I just replaced the 6 inch plate with a 12 inch Jack Plate to completely free up the back area. I can now put in a splash board over my transom. I was able to use the original cable steering with the 6 inch plate. Changing to hydraulic steering with 12 inch. I preferred moving the motor back than losing any valuable deck space for seating. gchuba Edited by gchuba on 03/08/14 - 11:54 AM

Member Posts: 1675 Comments: 0 Joined: 03/31/13	I have two Jack Plates on my boat. The new 12" and a smaller separate one for the kicker. The kicker is mounted fairly high and has a spring mechanism for lowering. I originally had a tiller handled kicker but the handle was in the way. I changed over to a remote kicker with throttle, etc... at the helm. Set up works well. I have the old 6" jack plate for sale. gchuba
