I have a 1986 13 super sport that I am restoring. The steering bezel is just a round plastic piece.
It does not look like the one in the parts manual I got from Whaler.

Anyone know if these are available anywhere?

The steering bezel is entirely dependent on the steering system used. What steering system do you have in your boat?

The original steering was a mechanical system by Teleflex. The bezel looks like this:

I just got the boat. It has a 2012 Merc 40 hp 4 stroke efi. I haven't looked to see what it is, rack or rotary.
It has a single starboard cable
The pic you sent does look similar to the one I have. The steering wheel is a 6 spoke destroyer type.

The reason I am asking is that I can see where a larger diameter bezel appears have been there.

Thx. Trying to keep things as close to OEM as is possible. Worried I am getting too obsessed.

My bezel is a black plastic with Whaler logo. I think it looks kinda cheap so I am thinking of making a teak replacement. I have some teak laying around from when I had a big boat and need to put it to work. Also I like the look of oiled teak over plastic anytime.

The bezel is the one that came with the boat, a 1981 Montauk, and looks like it is made of aluminum. The width is 4-1/2, height is 1-3/4, with two bolts coming out of the back to attach to dash there are three holes that bolts go through to attach to the steering unit.
