It's all the way on the other side of the state from you, but Alva Hardwoods in Alva, FL carries Many different woods at very reasonable prices. But don't just go there as the guy keeps funny hours so google their site and call him. I believe he can ship to you and he is reasonable, reliable and honest.

I winter in Ft. Myers and summer in St. Joseph, Michigan. It’s now about 12 years since I’ve joined this group. I gave my 1972 whaler to my daughter and sold the 17’. Bought an O’Day 28 sailboat and sailed on Lake Michigan. Yesterday I bought a 2005 130 Sport.

There's a lumber yard right in West Palm that sells hardwoods. I forget the name of it but it's just a few blocks south of 45th St. and just west of Broadway right at the train tracks. I bought a bunch of cedar planking for my horse stable and they had everything you could imagine.

All sorts of marine lumber (including mahogany) are available form CLC in Annapolis MD, and they ship anywhere. You couldn't do business with finer folks:

Hello captjp, if you don't mind the drive down to Miami check with:

Shell Lumber
2733 S.W. 27Th Ave. Coconut Grove, FL 33133
(305) 856-6401 Toll Free 1-800-621-6391

They deal with a great many types of wood and exotics all in house and I have seen Mahogony there. Give them a call and inquire.

Hope this helps.
