I am looking for reference material on how to construct a teak platform to level the bow area on my outrage 19 to create a lounging area. Can anyone point me in that direction

Is this what you are looking for?

If so, I can help you out. As an Architect, I designed and built this from solid teak boards for extended sleep-aboard cruising for 2 people, up to 2 weeks. It is the only one I know of, but I have drawn a full dimensioned, to scale, shop drawing for it's fabrication, and it is designed to look Whaler factory original. It is not dificult to make if you have any woodworking skills at all. It also extends along the sides of the console, and lifts out when not needed. When in, the standard 86/94QT Igloo cooler sits on top of it with bungee cords holding it in place. The deck is held in place by only four 3-1/2" screws into the existing cooler cleats beneath.
With this deck leveling out the bow area of the boat all the way to the console, and with full Mills canvas and cooler seat removed, 2 people can sleep comfortably under the forward shelter, in all weather conditions. She is 5-8 and I am 6-2, and there is plenty of comfortable space. It makes the Outrage 18/19 the ultimate pocket cruiser that can easily be trailered anywhere in the US and Canada for cruising exploration.
I have also designed and built one of these for my Outrage 21 ribside, for same purposes.

Finnegan thanks for the quick response this is exactly what i am looking for. I actually have a hobby wood shop so i have the tools and ability. I saw something similar in an old Whaler article. I would be interested in the plans if you don't mind someone coping your design.. I just purchased an 1990 Outrage 18 (my profile says 19 but it will not let me change it) . Its my 1st Whaler and i have been looking a long time. It will be delivered this Saturday and i feel like a kid again.
thanks for your help

David,
You actually do have a 1990 Outrage 19'.

No need to change your profile.
The only difference between the Outrage 18' and 19' I is a name change.

Glad to help.
Depending on what month it was made, you may find the decal on the side of the boat does say "Outrage 19".
Here is what the Outrage 18' has.

I would be curious to find out what decal you actually have and when it was made.
See this list we have for more information:

Here is a 1990 Outrage 19' with the Outrage 19' decals.

Enjoy your new Whaler.

Great.
That was built in June of 1989 as a 1990 year model.
You come before prj in that list.
All we need is your hull Stencil number and we can add you to that list with the info on the decals.
I am always collecting info on when things actually changed.

That's your partial HIN.
Here's your full HIN: BWC7144EF990
The Stencil number is on the small bow step just before the front of the bow locker on the starboard side.
Starts with A5 and 4 numbers after that.
Take a look at that list again and let us know.
