Does anyone have a suggestion on where best to place rod holders to store rods when running on my 1989 15 ss? I use rail clamp ons when fishing but need a place to safely store rods shen running. Thanks.

If the rail wraps around the seat, you could do the same as pictured on my personal page. CE Smith adjustable clamp on rod holders will work on the side rails as well. Add gimbal butt seats to your rods and all is good.

Mine are mounted on the side of the console - as purchased, there was a commercial 3-rod holder on there, and when I added the front seatback I built my own two-rod version from 2" PVC. Both versions can be seen on my personal page.

Thanks - wish I had more time to spend on the water!
