Recently purchased a 16' Dauntless 160 (2005). I was wondering if anyone has developed a solution to lock the helm storage area to protect battery theft.
Although it can be done I take a different attitude toward this type of security. If it is locked and the thief wants your battery bad enough he will simply break what ever lock you have and likely cause more damage as well as get your battery.
Unattended boats are a real target for these creeps and there is very little you can do short of removing all valuable items when you leave it.
