I'm looking for the pedestal seat for my 2005 Montauk 170. I can find it on the Whaler page, but my local dealer can't seem to find a way to purchase. Any suggestions or aftermarket ideas (that don't include fabrication on my part)? I want the one that mounts through the wall of the anchor locker.

Are you referring to the forward pedestal seat?

Hey Joe. Yes, that's the type of seat I'm looking for. Nice pics.

I believe he purchased that through Sue @ Twin Cities Marine who is a Master Boston Whaler dealer.

Their link is in the upper right sidebar under Sponsors.

It's my boat in the post from Joe. My boat is a 2003 and that bulkhead is not reinforced so I have a substantial backing plate. I think I bought it from Outboard Motor Shop in Oakland. They are a Whaler dealer. I had to hunt all over to find one.
Let me know if you have any questions.
Good luck.

Even the earlier Classic models had a substantial backing plate.

Here is the earlier version:

As a side note:
All discussions should remain here and not by private email.
That doesn't do anyone else here any good.
Thanks for everyone's co-operation.
