I have read most of the posts on rub rail end caps especially Tom Clark's observation that on a 13 ft the end caps would probably do more damage than good....especially in a "hard landing".
So, is there alternative? Like a big tennis ball? Seems as though the transom corner gets banged with very little provocation.....and on a 13 ft hull there is almost no fender set up that makes the corner immune from the occasional bump.....cracked ( about 1/2 inch) the hard white rub rail insert this weekend.
