I have a 1992 Outrage II with a 150hp Johnson and would like to install a removable ski/tubing pylon to haul the kids around with.
When I use the transom cleats, the towline is forced below the surface of the wake causing a blinding spray to come up in the rider's face.
Ideally there would be two inside transom mounts and a deck mount that when the pylon was removed there would be little evidence of its existence.
Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

I stumbled across a product this week that was installed on a boat like yours called a Turbo Swing. A google search should bring it up. No holes but expensive.

I use the Deckmaster which I purchased from West Marine on my 1990 Mantauk to pull kids on tubes and casual adult skiers. If you are looking for a competitive level skiing I would look at some more substantial.

Thank you for your responses. I am going to look into the Turbo swing. Any idea where to get them in the US?

I think that for removable ski pylon the Swivle Eze is gong to be your best bet. the tripod design works great. I have a friend who has one on a Key West that works very well. we work it pretty good with tubes and wake boards and have had no issues. They have a couple of different designs. one of which is a system that when removed you leave 3 pads in the boat

Bake is right. I've been using a Swivel Eze fixed height pylon with clevis pins for a number of years now on my 1984 Outrage 22.

It's quick and easy to take it down when not in use. I've towed a number of young men who put some serious torque on it while slalom skiing with no problems. Also, a tube and a 10ft Zodiac with 9.9. Not one screw has come loose let alone pulled out. When it's out, the plate left on floor has not caused a problem for stubbed toes. The clevis pins on the gunwales have not been a problem either.

I have a 1990 22' Whaler which I added a ski tow bar. Under $600 installed!

That does look nice there craigt. I have seen a tow bar with fold down seat on it that is being fabed In Martin marines shop for a whaler up north. fixed towing points are becoming much more common.
Still for the person who wants removable the swiville eze try pod is hard to beat.

Thank you all for your responses. craigt1, that fixed tow mount looks great, but I do think I will pursue the removable option.
