I have a problem with my in-floor fuel guage and sender. When It looked like I needed to re-adjust the sender as I suspected it was off a bit in terms of fuel readings (it wasn't, but wanted to make sure everythign was clean and tight as well) i took it apart by removing the clear cover, then carefully removing the fuel sening unit and guage. Then I ran into a problem... the guage will not sit right, no matter what I do. To my horror, I realized I made the problem worse. Now the guage is bent from me trying to fit it in (it hits the clear floor cover, popping it off and exposing the tank and sender), and it will not fit on correctly (seat down far enough) or read accurately. I lost one or two of those tiny screws as well that attaches the sender to the tank on the bottom layer of the sender assembly. Who knew how complext that little rascal is LOL. Now, with water condensing on the clear cover, I am worried. Does anyone know where I can get the following parts?:
1. gasket for cover over fuel tank/guage
2. gasket for fuel sender
3. screws for actual sender
4. fuel guage (I think i saw one on here under the special parts section that looks exactly like mine)

I love this old boat and hate to see things like this happen, especially since it was my fault! I want to eventually completley remove , clean, and re-seal the aluminum tank with new hoses, but don't have the money.
Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance. Keeping my fingers crossed.

Condensation under the clear cover is normal. I don't recall there was an O ring. It is good practice to pull the inspection covers when the boat is stored and not in use to alow any moisture in the fuel cavity to escape.

For replacing the gasket under the sender, visit an auto supply store (I.E. NAPA, Pep Boys etc.) and purchase a sheet and cut one for your application. Use a jar or lid that is the right inside and outside diameter as a template.

Take one of the existing screws to a true hardware store and match for size, diameter and threads.

Replacement senders (Rochester is the original brand) are available through e-components on the Internet. They are a trusted source.

to add to Phil, make sure screws purchased at a hardware store are stainless, not zinc plated. Those will rust.
