I have been doing some work on my 1986 Outrage 18 and have a couple of parts that need replacing and have no idea of their names or were to find them.
First, this is my first Whaler and I have only had it for about 10 months. It always puzzled me why I always had water in the tank area, until recently, while looking at some restoration pictures realized that I am missing the plastic piece that goes under the console that prevents water from entering the cavity were all the cables enter the floor. Its an oval shape plastic piece. I only have half of it.
Second, while restoring the gunwale teak i removed all the metal fittings and my son broke one of the metal strips that goes next to the hawsepipes. It's the strip that is about 12" that protects the outer gunwale teak from rope burn.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Juan

You only have half of the rigging tunnel Hawse Pipe / Tunnel Collar (Image #1) because that is all Whaler installed on 18 Outrages. Why I have NO idea. You can get one from a 22 Outrage that is a complete collar. It's part number is: 12133800

When I rebuilt my deck on my 22 Outrage I had a the complete collar and mounted it opposite of how the factory installed it. From under the deck up. That helped to create a lip to keep water from getting into the rigging area. That did not stop the water from getting into the tank cavity though. It easily passes behind the side closeout panels under the gunwales, then into the rigging tunnels and into the fuel tank area.

The Stainless piece you have there I have called a chaffing rail. You can buy it in many sizes and lengths at any marine store. Taco makes a lot of them. Link

Jeff:
Thanks for your reply!
I'll order the parts.
You are right about the water, it will still come in, guess I'm still going to get the hawse pipe to reduce the ammount that gets in.

PS. Great forum and thanks to all who collaborate. First post, but I have gotten many answers and help from the site.
